“The 79th TSC is headquartered at Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California, officially activated on December 1, 2009. As Operational Command Posts of a Theater Sustainment Command – the ESCs plan, coordinate synchronize, monitor, and control operational- level sustainment operations for Army Service Component Commands, Joint Task Forces and Joint Forces Commands throughout the world.

FIGHTING 79^th MISSION:
Provide trained, ready, cohesive, well-led sustainment units for world-wide deployment to meet the U.S. Army’s rotational and contingency mission requirements in support of the National Military Strategy.

MOTTO “TO DO FOR COUNTRY”
The 79th Theater Sustainment Command provides trained and ready logistics units for worldwide operations and deployment. The 79th TSC’s operational designation in Sept. 16, 2017 makes it the newest of the Army’s Theater Sustainment Commands and one of only two in America’s Army Reserve, with units that span locations dispersed across 19 states, all west of the Mississippi River.

Activated in 2009 as the 79th Theater Sustainment Command, its specialized capabilities support both Defense Support of Civil Authorities and early entry/set-the-theater requirements.

As the operational command posts of a TSC, Theater Sustainment Commands plan, coordinate, synchronize, monitor, and control operational-level sustainment for Army Service Component Commands, joint task forces, joint forces commands, and multinational forces throughout the world.

The 79th traces its lineage back to the 79th Infantry Division, activated in August 1917. The 79th fought in the Meuse-Argonne campaign during the closing months of World War I, earning the nickname “Cross of Lorraine” for its defense of France. After inactivating in June 1919, the 79th was re-activated in June 1942; two years before reporting to the Port of Embarkation at Camp Myles Standish, Massachusetts in April 1944. Three months later the unit disembarked on Utah Beach, Normandy, June 12-14.

Following stiff enemy opposition during multiple campaigns of World War II, where three Soldiers from the division were awarded the Medal of Honor, the 79th went on to become an occupation force in the Dortmund, Sudetenland, and Bavarian areas successively.”

The Wonderful and Historic “Our Nations Heroes Captain America Shield” took a 7-Month journey to complete starting at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California, USA and was first signed by Members of the United States of America’s 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Current Serving U.S. Military Members and Combat Veterans representing the US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, and US Air Force.

From the US Marine Corp Raiders, USMC Force Recon, US Army Rangers, US Army Infantry and Paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division , 173rd Airborne Brigade “Sky Soldiers”, US Army Soldiers from the 1st Calvary Division, “the First Team”, 10th Mountain Division “Clime To Glory”, 1st Infantry Division “Big Red One”, 2nd Infantry Division “Second To None,” 3rd Infantry Division “The Rock of the Marne” 4th Infantry Division “Steadfast and Loyal”, 25th Infantry Division “Tropical Lightning”.

And signed by US Marines, US Navy Divers, US Air Force Para Rescue and Combat Control Airmen, US Coast Guard Search and Rescue and Drug Interdiction Coasties. All Combat Veterans or been Awarded for Valor and Bravery, Bronze and Silvers Stars, Combat Infantryman Badges. Also a special Combat Veteran that served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam Wars first in the US Army Air Corps than he joined the US Marines and then US Army! Thank you to “Tito” Ortiz former (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion and American Mixed Martial Artist who he and wife has visited our Deployed Troops in Iraq 5 times and supported our Christmas Drive before!

The Heroes who signed the Our Nations Heroes Captain America Shield, served to Protect America during WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Desert Storm, Somalia, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria Wars and Conflicts. And Who Are America’s Bravest of the Brave who Fought to Liberate the Oppressed and the Enslaved throughout the World while Representing America’s Time Honored Values of God, Freedom, Family and Country.

Your gracious support of $2500.00 will help support the 2021 Operation Christmas For Our Troops & Their Families Christmas Drive and Unit Military Family Day Events! We met Mr. and Mrs. Everth and Cynthia Bercian at the very fun 2021 OC Fair in Orange County, California, USA! There whole family was wearing Captain America Shirts when they saw the  “Our Nations Heroes Captain America Shield” it was meant for their wonderful patriotic and Veteran Military family to have it! We are catching up from last year where the 2020 China COVID-19 Government Event closures and limitations hurt our community outreach efforts greatly. But your family and other wonderful patriotic Americans have helped save the day!

Thank you also to Manny Koukoulas, Commack, New York, USA for donating the “Official Marvel Captain America Shield” that he purchased for our 2021 Operation Christmas For Our Troops Christmas Drive! We met Manny at the March 2021 Scottsdale, Arizona, Barrett-Jackson when he visited our Booth and saw the Inaugural Our Nations Heroes Captain America Shield. When he heard about the Silent Action that we were doing and who signed and it would help our Military Unit’s and their families for Christmas he asked “are you going to do another one, I will buy and Donate to you a “Official Marvel Captain America Shield…”  Thank you Manny, God Bless you!!!

And  Special “Thank you” once again to MAJ Ashley, Company Commander, SFC Atkinson, Company Operations Sergeant and the wonderful Soldiers of C CO, 1st BN, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) CA ARNG for your great hospitality and for your help signing the 2021 Inaugural “Our Nations Heroes Captain America Shield”. With heavy hearts and tears we at Yellow Ribbon America join our fellow American’s as we mourn the loss of our 13 brave United States Military Members and the upsetting exit and end to America’s 20 years of Combat Operation’s in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 Terrorists Attacks on our Country.

SSG Ryan Knauss, a Soldier with the 8th Psychological Operation’s Group (Airborne), U.S. Army was one of those who was killed. SSG Ryan Knauss was also Awarded for Valor and a Purple Heart Recipient.

In 2019 “Operation Christmas For Our Troops & Their Families our annual Christmas Drive with Our Nation’s Heroes Foundation had the honor to help support the 8th Psychological Operation’s Group’s (Airborne) Unit Christmas Tree Lighting Event with their families.

Yellow Ribbon America has made a donation for SSG Ryan Knauss’s Family and we are posting for other American’s to donate too. We are American’s and we take care of our own! Especially our Heroes families who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us all.

“Our hearts are heavy with grief for the loss of our 13 American service members. SSG Ryan Knauss was one of our own. He was a member of the PSYOP Regiment. As our PSYOP community has come together in support of one another and in support of Ryan’s wife, we’re reminded of what makes PSYOP an amazing community to be a part of. North Pole South / Newport Beach, CA: December 9, 2019. Last year from the City of Newport Beach, CA we had such caring and generous response from it’s local community. Santa’s Elves with “Operation Christmas For Our Troops & Their Families” was doing weekly Monday pick up’s of Toy’s and gift’s from the City of Newport Beach Firefighters and the City of Newport Beach’s several drop-off locations to help Support Local Orange County and Southern California Military Unit’s and their families for Christmas!

Through “Operation Christmas For Our Troops & Their Families” they helped to support many Military Unit Christmas Parties with their families which helped pay for their food and beverage costs for their Unit Christmas Parties, Toys, Gift Cards for the Mothers with Children under 3yrs of age and Teenagers over 13. Your Community, City, Business, Church, Group or as an Individual can help support local Military Unit’s and their families come together and make up lost time apart this Christmas.
