🎄Past Requests for Operation Christmas For Our Troops & Their Families Support

Hello, my husband is an active duty Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. We have two children, our son is 9 years old and our daughter is 6 years old. We have found ourselves in great need of help as we are a single income family due to my inability to work. I have many heath problems and have had three sugeries this year alone. The last one required me to lose a large protion of my right breast. We have always been able to provide for our children but moving here to the west coast has changed that. The cost of living is so much more out here we have to live pay check to pay check. After bills are paid and food is bought there is just nothing left. I can’t sleep at night worring about what we are going to do about Christmas. I could not even afford school clothes this year for our children. So please if there is anything you can do to help us I can promise you could not bestow your kindness on a more greatful family. Thank you for your time and God bless :).

Was wondering how to apply for assistance for Christmas for my children?

-Mary P

I am a military spouse. We just recently had our duty station changed and are now living on one income as I have been unable to find work yet at our new station. We are having a hard time making ends meet right now and I am super stressed out about how we are going to make Christmas happen this year. I am wondering if you know who I could ask for help with Christmas gifts this year. I have never had to do this before so I am unsure who I should contact. I know there is a program they do through the base but it is for e5 and below so we do not qualify as my husband is e6. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

-Kelly E

Hello, my name is Carli A… I do not know much about your Christmas program, but I am hoping you can help or that you know someone who can. My husband is a wounded warrior. We are currently waiting on him to be medically retired. He is an E-4 in the Army and unfortunately I am without employment. I am terrified that we will not be able to provide for our two boy this Christmas. I said to my husband today that we might have to give them a lump of coal and tell them to do better next year. It is all because we cannot afford to get them any gifts. My husband will be out of the military somewhere around the beginning of the year we expect and with me not working we do not even have enough money to feed our boys. I have maxed out my credit card buying groceries. I thought I would have found a job by now since I am a disabled veteran myself but have had no luck. I do not know what to do. I hope there is someone you know who can help us. I do not know what we are going to do. I am so scared. I do not want to let my boys down. If you know anyone who lives in the D.C area I am willing to work , donate my time, or anything I can do. I just do not want to let my boys down.

Thank you so much for your time.

Sincerely,

-Carli A

Hi there. I was writing to see if you were perhaps having a Christmas program for military families again this year and to see if I could get any information on how to apply for such a program. Our family has had a very difficult year and would greatly appreciate any information you could share with us. Thank you so very much for your help and have a great day.

Hey, my name is Christina R… and my husbands name is Brandon R… and he is stationed in Ft.Lewis Wa and we are in Pickens S.C. The army has changed him for the worst so we had to do a safety move and move back home due to his violence. I hope to see us still together in the future cause I want my family to stay together and I know he just needs to get help. With us doing the safety move, we don’t get his money any more even though we are still married. He does pay some to help with the kids, but now…. Not only are my kids suffering from a separation of their mommy and daddy cause the army, they are also suffering from a loss of Christmas cause I cannot afford it. I have 3 small children. Ages are 5 months,18 months, and 3 years old. Could you please be a resource to help my kids for Christmas this year. Thank you!

I am hoping I can get a little help giving my three boys, 18, 16, and 9 a wonderful Christmas this year. I am still in the military and my wife finally got a job after 3 years of looking for one. It has helped us a lot but we are still so far behind. I just want to be able to make my boys smile on Christmas day.

hi everyone! I have looked to see where we might put our family in for support-but I havent been able to find a link, so if you have one-that would be great! We are a active duty Navy family of 4. We have twins that are both 12 and special needs(autism-I consider this a blessing!!). We are looking for some help with Christmas. We have a great family that we are going to be driving to, to have the holidays with-but its the gifts we are concerned about. The last couple of years our family has been able to help but this year most of them have lost their jobs and are struggling too. If you know of any resources out there-that would be great!! Thank you!!

Hi, im not sure if this is where I ask for help. My husband is active duty Navy and has been in for 21 years and has serviced 4 tours in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan in the last ten years. We have 4 beautiful children ( a 2 year old boy, 6 year old boy, 8 year old boy, and an 11 year girl). Due to the poor economy here in Texas, In September, I was laid off from my job as a medical technologist at Christmas Santa Rosa Medical Center. That being said we are living pay check to pay check just to pay the bills and put food on the table. For the first time in our children’s life we just don’t know where we are going to get the money to give them some kind of a Christmas. My husband is too proud to ask for help from anyone, so I am writing to try and get any help offered.

Your kind consideration will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Karen P

My name is Sgt Christopher H… and I need help with Xmas for my family and I also need help with food. Please contact me if you can.

Hi, I am a single parent, Military Member of the U.S Army… I am currently going through a divorce, due to enduring quite a bit of domestic violence throughout my marriage.. I have been deployed twice, with an Afghanistan trip planned for late next year. I am unsure if this is the correct way to ask for Christmas help for me and my 3 children.. ages 16, 13 and 10. If this is not, could you please direct me to someone who could offer help… Thanks for what you do… You truly have no idea how much services like this mean to us.

Hi i am currently training for my upcoming deployment early of next year i was trying to find out where i could go for Christmas support for my kids son 4 yrs and daughter 1 yr.

-Jen

Dear Madam or Sir, My fiancé’s son was recently deployed to Afghanistan. She and I have been trying to find a Thanksgiving meal for vets, their families, etc. in the Sacramento, California area at which we could volunteer this year but have had no luck finding such. Are you aware of any? Alternatively, I thought I could buy some prepared turkey dinners for vets and their families who might be in need this Thanksgiving. I don’t know how many I can afford, but I am certain of at least 10-15. Of course, I would need to know of those in need. Could you offer any assistance in this? Thank you for your attention to this. I would be most grateful for any help you could give. Eat well, live well, and always share your blessings. Just me,

-Mike S

I was wondering if you can apply for Christmas help? Thank you

Hi I would like to know more information about this program my husband is in the military.

-Tashera

I am the mother of a soldier who served 27 months over the course of three years with the First Cavalry in Iraq. He is an Army medic now stationed at Fort Detrick, Maryland. He found the love of his life with a nurse at Fort Detrick named Michele. He and Michele are getting married on New Year’s Eve and dream of a honeymoon in St. Lucia. Unfortunately, with the poor economic conditions, few are able to give to get them to the $8,000 needed for transportion and lodging. We have helped with the wedding arrangements and some toward the trip, but are fairly certain they won’t make it to the $8,000 needed. Is there any help available for this? My son has received numorous awards and bravely provided medical care to soldiers and civilians during the deadliest year in Iraq during the surge. His missions were outside the green zone and he risked his life on a daily basis. We are so grateful he made it home alive. Would love for him and Michele to have a beautiful honeymoon. Please help.
